Skip Kuebel Photography

I hiked out to Muir Beach one afternoon and saw this great view of the trees on the hill, the rocks in the foreground and the ocean slashing up on the beach. So, I worked my way around the rocks and was doing the photographer thing, you know, getting the best angle for the shot, focus etc. Little did I know that on the other side of these rocks is a nude beach. Felt a little creepy, with the camera and all, so I didn't stay long! LOL. I added in the sun and sky in post-processing and using NIK filters to bring in the orange/reds from the sunset into the rocks and ocean. Is it cheating to do this? What you think? Another shot from my walk-about in San Francisco. The Palace of Fine Arts is always a great target for photographers and I'm no different. It has it's challenges to shoot, as it's quite tall and it's hard to get into a good composition. This is shot from the Rotunda, looking out towards the columns that surround it. I had to use a couple of filters to straighten out the columns in the foreground and then my favorite Nik software filters. Oh, the sky was added in after the fact. The Point Bonita Lighthouse is at the very tip of the Marin Headlands leading to the mouth of the Golden Gate. This is a sight not to miss. You park and need to walk about a mile down a path and through a tunnel and then across a very shaky wooden suspension bridge, braving the wind and sea sprat to arrive at the Point Bonita Lighthouse.
